The European Institute of Social Security sends its best wishes for 2019!
Here are some key activities to look out for in the new year:
At the start of the summer, the Institute will once again team up with its partners to organize a seminar for young researchers in the field of social security. During this seminar, PhD-students and others can come and present their ongoing research and receive feedback from their peers. There will also be a number of guest lectures on social security research, as well as plenty of opportunities to discuss your work with the professors!
From 26 August to 10 September, the EISS organises in cooperation with KU Leuven a Summer School in social security. The programme offers an intensive 'crash course' to provide you with a basic knowledge of social security in its various aspects and takes place in Leuven. The perfect opportunity to get up to speed and gain new insights from an international and multidisciplinary perspective! The Summer School also functions as the preparation for the Advanced Master of European Social Security offered at KU Leuven.
The EISS Conference for 2019 will take place in Zurich on 26 and 27 September. The organisation is in hands of Professor Thomas Gächter (University of Zurich), in cooperation with the Institute.
The topic of the conference will be 'New Family Structures and Social Security'. We very much look forward to sharing a preliminary programme in the future!
