Presidium

The presidium is the executive board of the EISS.

Our institute is presided by Prof. Franz Marhold, Vienna University of Economic and Business, Austria.

He is assisted by the vice-presidents: Dr. Chris Gibbon of the IBM Social Segment of the United Kingdom, dr. Grega Strban of the University of Ljubljana and Dr. Sara Stendahl of the Gothenburg University of Sweden.

The presidium is completed by the secretary general, a task which is taken up by Prof. Paul Schoukens, professor of (European) social security law of the KU Leuven (Belgium).

The members of the Bureau are the representatives of the active national sections and working groups.

Members

Our members have different academic and professional background but are all interested and active in the field of social security and social protection in Europe.

Together we are the only network of social security in the world.

At the moment the EISS has a total of 215 members coming from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
