WORKING GROUP ON ATYPICAL WORK

Improving the social protection of atypical workers has been ranking high on the EU agenda in recent years. The Covid-19 crisis showed us again the merits of having a decent social security system in place. At the same time, Covid-19 revealed the gaps of social security and the vulnerability of uncovered groups.

During the EISS conference in Zagreb 2021, Secretary General Paul Schoukens and Prof. dr. Enzo Weber launched the idea for a new working group, which would focus on atypical work. The general assembly approved the motion to create the working group during its meeting.

The first official meeting of the working group took place on 5 September 2022. During this meeting, a general outline was created on how the group would move forward, and some project ideas were set up.
