OUTPUT 5: Proposal for a comprehensive curriculum
5.1 Proposal for a joint master in European social security
The proposal narrates in detail how a comprehensive curriculum for a joint Master in European social security, with a focus on blended learning, could become a reality. It addresses all the necessary aspects, like the academic programme, the learning outcomes, the monitoring and evaluation of the programme, the arrangements for student and staff mobility, the administrative formalities etc. The document also highlights the relevance of the joint master and the strategy to have it fully accredited and recognized. This proposal is one of the main results of the targeted collaborative work of EFESE. It was enriched by all the other intellectual outputs, especially 3 and 4.
5.2 Questionnaire on the combination of virtual and residential instruction
The questionnaire consists of 14 questions which aim to record the attitudes of the participants towards the combination of virtual and residential training. This kind of training was provided in the EFESE Young Researchers School (YRS) in Ljubljana (June 2016) and Spetses (June 2017). The questionnaire also refers to the organisation of the training and the online learning platform. This instrument can be used in other attempts to assess and improve blended instruction.
5.3 Report on the combination of virtual and residential instruction
The report illustrates the results of two studies. The first one corresponding to the Young Researchers School in Ljubljana (June 2016) and the second one corresponding to the Young Researchers School in Spetses (June 2017). The aim of both studies was to record the attitudes of the learners towards the combination of virtual and residential training, the organisation of the school, and the online learning platform.
