YOUNG RESEARCHERS SCHOOL


The Young Researchers School (YRS) takes place, once a year, in a hybrid format with an online track and a gathering in a different European location.

During one intensive week, young researchers starting their PhD present and discuss their PhD research, while also attending several lectures on comparative research and research methodology in the field of social security.

EXECUTIVE SUMMER SCHOOL IN SOCIAL SECURITY


The EISS supports the organisation of the Executive Summer School in Social Security, a recognised post-graduate programme organised at the Faculty of Law of the KU Leuven in cooperation with professors from universities throughout Europe.


The Executive Summer School offers the possibility to look at social security from different disciplinary angles in an international setting. In two and a half weeks you will follow a crash course in the field of social security. Specially designed course materials are provided beforehand.

MASTER PROGRAMME IN SOCIAL SECURITY


For those who are interested in deepening their knowledge, the master-after-master programme Master in European Social Security offers a specialised study of social security in the broadest sense of the word. The Master includes an internship with a social security organisation, which either allows you to focus on practice or on research (including the development of a research project).


This programme is offered as a combination of contact teaching and research learning, offering those who are professional active the opportunity to keep working while following the programme which leads to a (advanced) Master diploma.

BLENDED COURSES READY FOR EXCHANGE


The EISS is engaged in disseminating the outputs of the EFESE project (European Format for the Exchange of Social Security Education).

EFESE (2014-2017) made important contributions towards the development and exchange of blended courses (i.e., a combination of online and face-to-face learning activities).
